How it works

Ten minutes, one letter, lots of giggles

1

Choose a letter

Start with the letter you are working on this week, or let your little one pick their favorite.

2

Say it and meet the animals

Practice the letter sound out loud, then read the short facts together. They are written to be read in one breath.

3

Print and color

Hit the download button and print the sheet. Big outlines, a traceable letter and plenty of room for crayons.

Letter of the week

Say hello to the letter A

A little taste of what every letter page looks like: the sound, the animals and one fact each that kids love to repeat at dinner.

Practice all letter sounds
Aa /a/ as in apple

Open your mouth wide like a big yawn and say “a, a, a”. That is the same sound you hear at the start of alligator, ant and antelope.

Open the Letter A Page

Alligator

Baby alligators squeak to call their mom while they are still inside the egg.

Alpaca

Alpacas hum to each other when they feel curious, worried or just a bit chatty.

Armadillo

Some armadillos can roll up into a tight ball, like a little living bowling ball.

Anteater

An anteater’s tongue is longer than your arm and flicks in and out super fast.
